Celebrate the Year of the Monkey with the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company

The Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company (led by Nai-Ni Chen and her husband Andy Chiang ’80 EECS) will celebrate the Year of the Monkey with a performance on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the Walt Whitman Theatre at Brooklyn College.

This performance, designed to introduce the creativity of Chinese art to Western audiences, includes a wide-ranging program. The event will begin with a traditional Double Lion Dance, followed by three dances from folk cultures within China and an excerpt from the Monkey King in the Heavenly Palace. The final component of this event will be a pair of performances created by Nai-Ni Chen herself. This event will be a unique opportunity to become acquainted with Chinese culture and history.
